This book was not written by Adam Miller, but was partily edited by him, and he has taken on the responsibility to see that the information it contains is dissemnated. There is much confusion today, among both Catholics and non-Catholis, concerning what is to be regarded as authentic and binding Catholic teaching, and what is not. Many theologians and Churchmen in positions of authority have abused their sacred teaching office by proposing teachings which are, at worst, contrary to the unchanging teachings of Holy Mother Church, or at best, ambiguous as to what they really mean to teach. They have thus contributed to this widespread confusion. How can the faithful know when a teaching is infallible, and thus de fide (of the Faith), and when it is not? How can the faithful determine whether or not what comes out of the Vatican is THE Church herself teaching or simply the opinions of certain Churchmen?
